Want to jazz things up? Try these Tips and Modifications:
- In place of peaches, substitute one fresh mango sliced into small bits
- In place of peaches, substitute pineapple (in its own juice) and omit cinnamon.
- If you don't have cinnamon, experiment with other canned peaches. Some already contain cinnamon and other spices.
- Add 1/4 cup sliced onions for a more robust salsa
- If you have trouble keeping fresh herbs on hand, pick up a tube of cilantro in oil (found in the produce section). It has strong flavor and lasts a long time in your 'fridge.
- For a smokier flavor, substitute chipotle pepper powder for chili powder
- If your girls night in doesn't involve drinking Margaritas or Cosmos, pick up a 4-pack of Peach or Clementine Izze
