Studies have shown that women need this time alone with other females. In fact, getting away with other women is actually good for our health. When women are stressed, we produce a hormone called oxytocin. This hormone makes women want to nurture and be nurtured. Put several women together and they produce more of this hormone which then dampens the effects of the stress causing a lowering of blood pressure, strengthening of immunity and a reduction in overall stress levels.
